Goluch Earns First Bioengineering Ph.D.

Edgar Goluch is the first student to earn a Ph.D. from the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Edgar Goluch is the first student to earn a Ph.D. from the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign. Dr. Goluch's dissertation was entitled, "Chip-Based Detection of Protein Cancer Markers."

The chair of his dissertation committee was Dr. Chang Liu.

Dr. Goluch has accepted a postdoctoral research position with Dr. Serge Lemay and Prof. Dr. Cees Dekker in the Molecular Biophysics Group at the Kavli Institute of NanoScience, Faculty of Applied Sciences at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
